How to Stop And Treat Bleeding Gums

Our mouth is the gateway to our body. Any disorder or infection in our digestive system will be reflected in our teeth and gums. Indigestion and acidity may cause bad breath in the mouth. Hence the first step of defense to our body is maintaining good dental hygiene. Recent research studies have reported that 80% of the adults have some sort of periodontal disease, and bleeding of gums is clearly a symptom of the underlying problem.

When bacteria or fungus attack the oral cavity and causes gum infection, there is inflammation of gums, and they gradually turn into red color and starts bleeding. Bleeding gums is most commonly observed in adults, which is an indication of disease. Sudden blow or injury to the mouth, dental picking, flossing may be the cause of bleeding of gums.
